Horego was an all-in-one culinary and lifestyle discovery platform designed to help food enthusiasts explore the best dining spots across Indonesia - from trending eateries and cozy cafes to local hidden gems. The platform offered curated dining guides, localized recommendations, and an authentic community-driven review ecosystem to make food discovery effortless.

Horego was born out of a full strategic pivot from Cashbac (a payments and rewards app under PT Global Pay Indonesia) following its merger with Desty Menu and subsequent corporate rebranding.

• Full Product Pivot in 3 Months: Spearheaded the engineering transition from a legacy transaction-centric app to a discovery-first food directory, designing, architecting, and launching the core feature set within a strict 3-month timeline.
• Scale-Ready Directory & UGC Review Engine: Engineered the platform's directory and community review architecture indexing 750,000+ food & beverage merchants across Indonesia, supporting high-concurrency search, rich-media reviews, and location-based discovery.
• Transaction & Voucher Checkout Pipeline: Developed the end-to-end voucher purchasing flow and merchant checkout pipeline, integrating third-party payment gateway SDKs to optimize conversion rates for partner merchants.
• Deep-Dive SDK Troubleshooting: Diagnosed an elusive zero-log payment failure reported during QA, tracing the root cause to a low-level runtime interaction conflict between the Xendit SDK and Microsoft Clarity. Collaborated directly with Xendit's core engineering team to patch the issue, which was officially shipped in Xendit SDK v4.2.3 and distributed to all Xendit merchant partners.
• Scale & Performance: Scaled the client infrastructure to serve 707,000+ active users while sustaining a 99.9% crash-free session rate.
